A different kind of content migration.

Seeing that our content team not only ensures constant movement on the websites but also looks for new ways of optimizing the workflow within the unit, an in-house relocation was set.

Moving an entire department is only beneficial as long as it leads to additional space that allows the team as well as the projects to grow. With this in mind, our content team moved upstairs and is now enjoying a more spacious workplace. It didn´t take long for a new team member to join: At this point, we would like to welcome Manuel Frenzel, our new Content Manager.

Maximum efficiency
Having grown to 8 employees by now, the content team was separated into two powerful groups. This simplifies planning resources while responsibilities become clearer and overlapping reduces. Group dynamics are considerably stronger in these two smaller teams: In order to perform daily tasks, cooperation within the group becomes closer and more direct. Another advantage lies in the simplification of coordinating the workflow, which is much more flexible and straightforward when based on face-to-face communication between the colleagues. After all, questions and suggestions of a colleague sitting at the opposite desk are easier to notice than those of a colleague in the office next door.

By concentrating activities in a smaller group and encouraging constant dialog, knowledge transfer within the team is ensured at all time.  In addition, the exchange of project-relevant information and technical know-how between the two groups as well as the departments is considered essential and avoids stand-alone solutions.

Finally, after the relocation of our content team our global goal remains unchanged: Optimizing communication and efficiency between the teams and using this basis for the successful completion of our projects. Every move is a good move if you move in the right direction, that´s how we define success.
